OUR VISION
Arcoiris Timor Leste exists to advocate and promote the equal human rights for all and to support establishment of an integrated LGBTIQ+ policy framework and the implementation of a range of programs to improve the lives of Lesbian Bi-sexual women and Trans men community members in Timor-Leste.
OUR MISSION
The mission of Arcoiris Timor Leste is to enhance and sustain the health, pride and dignity and well-being of youth and young adults who were assigned female at birth and are identifying themselves as lesbian or bisexual women or as transman (LBT) by empowering them with knowledge, skills, linking with services, resources and opportunities in a culturally diverse society.
Recently, through our work we are trying reaching out to all the diverse LGBTIQ+ community in Timor Leste.

OTHER ONGOING PROJECTS
The Plan International, the Association for the Development of Timor-Leste's Disabilities (AHDMTL), and the Arcoiris Timor-Leste (ATL), are partners in the project, Towards inclusive and assured futures
Unlocking the full potential of Timorese people in all their diversity’ with financial support from European Union (EU), is implementing 30-month (1 February 2023 to 31 July 2025) projects to support local civil society (OSS) organizations and local governments to effectively respond to the rights of the people living with disability and LGBTIQ+ community in 12 sucos across the municipalities of Dili, Ainaro and Ermera. The program focuses on human rights, especially social and economic rights. This project is in the backdrop of the existence of LGBTIQ + communities in Timor-Leste which is facing numerous challenges in daily life, both within the family and society in general. There are no such laws that prohibiting discrimination, violations based on gender identity and sexual orientation hence the violence continues to occur, making them vulnerable and difficult to fully exercise their human rights.
Arcoiris Timor Leste has entered into 1 year agreement with INDIGO Foundation
For the purpose of strengthening Arcoiris' work and bring fresh ideas, add skills and knowledge to its associated members and allies. Through this project, we expect to create better opportunities towards visibility of organizational work, skills & knowledge and provide platforms for sharing. We aim to improve access to resources and bring greater impact of organizational work. This will encompass strengthening LGBTIQ mobilization; socialization of key stakeholders on human rights and SOGIESC; creating safe space for sharing & learning for the community i.e., skill learning workshop; expansion of LGBTIQ and allies network; organize Rainbow advocacy activities for giving visibility to the community having talents or facing challenges.
